"Beneath our empire" (2017)

Collaborative work with Luis Maly
for the annual group show at Nest, Den Haag, NL: Everything Must Go

My boyfriend Luis works at the exhibition space Nest as a builder. One day, he discovered a secret entrance to the space underneath the building. He found out that the foundation of Nest was made from sand.
For the exhibition "Everything Must Go", we digged out that sand and made around 300 sandcastles. The hole to the foundation we left exposed.
